Honor Flights of Dubuque and the Tri-States has announced updated dates for a pair of flights this spring to take military veterans on a daylong visit to Washington, D.C., memorials. Honor Flight of Dubuque and the Tri-States has scheduled its flights for May 13 and 14. The organization currently is assessing veteran applications, and those selected for the flights will be notified soon. The flights previously were scheduled for May 20 and 21 but were moved due to a scheduling conflict. Veterans of World War II are given priority, followed by those serving in the Korean War, Cold War and Vietnam War, though “anyone that wore a uniform” is invited to participate. Terminally ill veterans from any war are given top priority.
