Three local school districts have received grants totaling more than $700,000 to address students’ mental health challenges. The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction recently allocated nearly $12 million in federal funding to local education agencies across the state through the Stronger Connections competitive grant process. The funding is part of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act signed into law in June 2022. The three school districts are: Boscobel School District, with over $131,000, River Ridge School District, with nearly $300,000, and Southwestern School District in Hazel Green with over $280,000.
