The Vernon County Sheriff’s Office released details of a recent OWI arrest of a man from Brodhead, Wisconsin. According to a release, officers pulled over 45-year-old Matthew Riese Saturday morning after receiving reports that he was driving erratically and crossing the center line. He was on probation at the time of the incident and was under court orders to remain sober. Riese refused a blood alcohol test. A warrant was later issued by the Vernon County Circuit Court for a sample of his blood. Riese was arrested for OWI – 5th offense. He appeared in Vernon County Circuit Court on Monday and was given a $500 cash bond. Riese is due back in court on May 28.
