People in Reedsburg blessed a Safe Haven Baby Box – a place where someone can anonymously drop off a newborn they don’t want or can’t take care of. The box is officially open as of Friday afternoon at the Reedsburg Area Ambulance Service Center at 230 Railroad Street. The Safe Haven Baby Boxes, often at fire stations, have a door on the outside of the building for someone to place the newborn in. This is to provide the person surrendering the baby anonymity hopefully making them more likely to surrender the baby safely.
