Two Vehicle Crash With No Injuries Near Hazel Green

On Tuesday around 1:00 PM, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center was notified of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 80 and Louisburg Road. Deputies responded to the scene and determined that the crash involved a pickup truck versus a semi. 58 year old John Marty of Hazel Green was traveling east on Louisburg Road in a Dodge Dakota. 61 year old James Block of Gordon, Wisconsin, was traveling north on Highway 80 in a Kenworth semi, pulling a 53 foot enclosed trailer and was traveling past the intersection with Louisburg Road. Marty entered Highway 80 from Louisburg Road, making a left turn, and struck the driver side rear tires and trailer of Block’s semi and trailer. Marty was cited for Fail to Yield the Right of Way from a Stop Sign. No injuries were reported. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Hazel Green Fire Department, Hazel Green EMS, Hazel Green Police Department, and Kieler Service Center.
