As part of an ongoing investigation on Tuesday, Detectives and Deputies, along with the assistance of the Darlington Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence on Pecatonica Road in Wiota Township. In the process of conducting the search warrant, a marijuana growing operation was discovered. Cultivated and processed marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia were located at the residence as well as the surrounding outbuilding. Numerous firearms were also discovered at the residence and removed due to firearms being easily accessible to children. The adult occupants of the residence, who were not home at the time of the search warrant, were later taken into custody. 40 year old Allen Taylor and 39 year old Patricia Taylor are currently in custody in the Lafayette County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance on charges of Possession of THC with intent to deliver and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place. This remains an ongoing investigation. The matter has been referred to the Lafayette County District Attorney’s office for evaluation of charges, as well as referred to Lafayette County Human Services.
