Shogun emerged as the front-runner as the 2024 Emmy nominations were announced on Wednesday morning, securing an impressive 25 nods, including best drama series and breaking multiple records. FX’s other hit series, The Bear, also set a record for comedy series with 23 nominations. Only Murders In The Building from Hulu followed with 21 nods, True Detective: Night Country from HBO/Max earned 19, and The Crown from Netflix had 18. Netflix leads the pack overall with a total of 107 nominations across 35 programs, followed by FX with 93 nominations from nine show, HBO with 91 from 29 programs, and Apple TV+ with 72 from 16 shows. The 76th Emmys will be broadcast live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 15, from 5-8 p.m. PT/8-11 p.m. ET on ABC. (THR)
