Head-On Collision In Grant County

On Thursday, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding a two vehicle crash on County Highway P at Highway 18, near River Ridge Schools just before 5pm. A vehicle driven by 34 year old Samantha Metsker of Bloomington collided head-on with a vehicle driven by 16 year old Abrihana Settles of Indiana. Both vehicles had disabling damage and had to be towed from the crash site. Settles reported possible injuries and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment. A passenger in her vehicle was uninjured in the crash. Both were wearing their seatbelts and airbags deployed from the crash. Metsker also reported possible injuries and was transported by EMS to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment. She had two minor children in the vehicle with her and were uninjured in the crash. Metsker was wearing her seatbelt and her airbag deployed. The children were in proper child safety seats. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Bloomington Fire Department.
