Madonna’s son, David Banda, has clarified his recent statement about “scavenging” for food after moving out of his mother’s New York City home. “To all of those concerned. My mother is very supportive of me,” he wrote on Instagram. “She has always been supportive of me. I am very happy in my life and I am not living on the streets, starving! Please stop worrying everything is good.” Banda had raised concerns during an Instagram Live by joking about his current living arrangement. “It’s lovely to experience it being nine o’clock at night, me being hungry and realizing that I don’t have enough money to get food and scavenging,” he joked. “It’s fun to be young. I love it. I’m not on my own, I’ve got my girlfriend.” Banda is currently living in the Bronx with that girlfriend, Maria Atuesta, and does have at least one source of income, offering virtual guitar lessons for $200 per session.
