On Sunday (July 28), Dolly Parton‘s Dollywood Parks & Resorts was struck by flash flooding as a massive thunderstorm washed over Pigeon Forge, Tennessee over the course of the weekend. The park released the following statement on X after the incident, “This afternoon, Sunday, July 28, a strong thunderstorm caused flash flooding at Dollywood. With the assistance of Pigeon Forge Police and Fire Departments, park personnel directed guests to safety during the storm. At this time, one minor injury has been reported. Dollywood is supporting guests whose vehicles were affected by this weather event, and cleanup crews have been deployed.” Images on social media shared the hazardous conditions and waist-deep water that overtook the park following the storms.
