Jimmy Kimmel and John Mulaney have both reportedly declined to host the next Oscars on March 2nd. Kimmel, a four-time host, turned down the offer earlier in the summer for undisclosed reasons. Mulaney, meanwhile, who received praise for presenting at this year’s Oscars, is busy with upcoming projects and a potential renewal of his talk show. Kimmel is currently tied for the fourth most hosting duties, following Johnny Carson (5), Billy Crystal (9), and Bob Hope (19). The 97th Oscars are expected to feature a diverse range of contenders, with movies like Dune 2, Joker: Folie a Deux, and the Bob Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown among early favorites. (Variety)
