Kathie Lee Gifford Hospitalized With Fractured Pelvis After Hip Replacement

Kathie Lee Gifford shared with People magazine that her recovery from hip replacement surgery was delayed after she fell and fractured her pelvis in two places. Gifford attributed the fall to overexertion, mentioning that moving heavy books during a book signing weakened her body. “And the next thing you know, I am back in the hospital with a fractured pelvis, the front and the back,” she said. “That’s more painful than anything I went through with the hip. The pelvis is unbelievably painful. But anyway, here I am.” She now plans to spend time at her farm and enjoy life’s simple pleasures. “The Lord is telling me it’s time to slow down,” she said.
