Governor Tony Evers announced Wednesday he is seeking applicants for Grant County Sheriff. Evers said the appointment will fill a vacancy being created by Sheriff Nate Dreckman’s resignation, which will become effective Sept. 30., 2024. The new sheriff will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2027. To apply, Evers said to complete the “Register of Deeds, Coroner, and Sheriff” form that can be found on the “Apply to Serve” page on his website. Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Sept. 13.
