The nine-day gun deer season in Wisconsin began on Saturday, and the Department of Natural Resources reports a successful season opener. The DNR has been patrolling hunting grounds and says it’s seen many individual and family hunters. The Conservation Warden vehicle has been out patrolling hunting grounds for the DNR. To ensure safety, the DNR urges hunters and hikers to wear high-visibility colors while outdoors. Despite colder weather, the DNR anticipates a smooth hunting season ahead. As of Saturday afternoon the DNR did not have any injuries or incidents to report.
