Hazel Green woman sentenced for Dubuque disturbances

An area woman has been sentenced to two years of probation for a pair of Dubuque disturbances. 26-year-old Amelia E. Carius, 26, of Hazel Green, Wis., recently received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to two counts of domestic abuse assault and three counts of assault on persons in certain occupations. The charges relate to a pair of Dubuque disturbances that occurred this past summer, per court documents. The disturbances occurred on July 3 and August 28 in the 800 block of Rhomberg Avenue. Documents state Carius assaulted her boyfriend at the time.
