Gov. Tony Evers has announced that the flags of the United States and the state of Wisconsin will be flown at half-staff on Saturday, December 7, in honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. This day commemorates the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941, which marked a pivotal moment in American history. The proclamation also designates December 7, 2024, as “Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day” across the state of Wisconsin. This observance will provide an opportunity for residents to reflect on the sacrifices made by the men and women of the U.S. military, including the 50 Wisconsinites who died in the attack.
