In an Instagram reel shared on Saturday (March 29), Jessica Simpson revealed that she has recently been consuming a Chinese herb syrup suggested by her vocal coach, only to discover through a Google search that it actually contains snake sperm. “It’s like a honey,” Simpson said with a laugh. “If you want a good vocal, you gotta drink snake sperm!” This humorous revelation comes shortly after the release of Simpson’s new country-flavored EP, Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1, which features five tracks and marks her first major project release since 2010. She recorded the project in East Nashville, and co-wrote the tracks with producer JD McPherson. “This time I needed to remember who I was and why I wanted to sing in the first place and all the music that inspires me,” Simpson said. “And I needed to forget who they told me to be.” In addition to the new release, Simpson also recently made her return to the stage for the first time in 15 years during a SXSW performance in Austin, Texas on March 12.
