The Cassville Car Ferry is set to open its season early next month. The ferry’s opening day is scheduled for May 2. According to an online announcement, the ferry connects two National Scenic Byways — Wisconsin Great River Road and Iowa Great River Road. The ferry generally operates from Memorial Day until Labor Day, depending on river levels. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The last trip from Wisconsin to Iowa is at 7:20 p.m., with the return trip from Iowa at 7:40 p.m. The cost is $20 per vehicle and utility vehicle, $10 per motorcycle and $5 for walk-on passengers and bicycles.
