One airlifted following motorcycle vs car crash in Dubuque County

On Wednesday at 9:44pm, the Dubuque County Sheriff’s Office, Dyersville Police Department, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Dyersville Fire Department and Bi-County Ambulance responded to 9th St SE for a motorcycle vs car accident. Initial investigation determined that the car was traveling north bound on 9th St SE and attempted to make a left turn when it collided with the motorcycle that was traveling south bound. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospital with life threatening injuries. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries. The names of the drivers are not being released at this time. The accident is still under investigation.
