Authorities said an altercation in a vehicle caused an injury crash in Dubuque County, leading to two arrests. 35-year-old Brent D. Lipinski of Franklin, Wis., reported stomach and head pain and had a cut on his nose but refused medical treatment at the scene, according to court documents. A 6-month-old child was transported by ambulance to MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center for evaluation but was determined to be uninjured. Documents state that Lipinski was driving east on Highway 20 near Dyersville at 3:05 a.m. Sunday and he was engaged in a verbal disturbance with the front-seat passenger, 20-year-old Destiny E. Forshee of Beaver Dam, Wis. During an argument, Forshee grabbed the steering wheel and pulled it to the right. Lipinski attempted to correct the vehicle’s steering but crashed into a ditch and rolled onto its side. Both Lipinski and Forshee were found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. Lipinski was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated and child endangerment. Forshee was arrested on charges of domestic assault with injury, child endangerment and possession of alcohol by a person ages 18-20.
