Iowa County has added more information to their FAQ’s section following a recent cyberattack. Following the April 28th cyberattack some systems are still delayed or temporarily. The systems impacted include payment information prior to this year’s tax season, delinquent payment history, delinquent taxes due, and split information and parcel history. Iowa County is working with an outside vendor to help rebuild their system and search engines to assist the public with accessing the necessary information in relation to property sales such as lien verification, sales, chain of title, and ownership and legal description verification. Iowa County is unable to provide a timeline for full restoration of services, but according to their website they are conducting a thorough review of affected systems alongside third-party cybersecurity experts to ensure all data is validated and protected before restoration. Accuracy and security are their highest priorities in this process.
