The Iowa Renewable Infrastructure Program Board recently approved $1,234,431 in grants to support ethanol production infrastructure in 48 counties. Dubuque County received three grants totaling more than $40,000. The Dubuque County grant recipients include two Casey’s General Stores located in Cascade and Peosta. Rainbo Oil Co. in Dubuque received the largest grant of $31,461. The Iowa Renewable Infrastructure Program is a grant program designed to assist fueling stations with installing, replacing and converting infrastructure to expand the use of sustainable fuels, such as ethanol. The grants were announced June 12.
