A Grant County jury found a man guilty of a three charges, including a hate crime, in connection to a fight in August 2024. According to court records, Christopher Logan Drapeau was convicted on felony battery, Disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer, Criminal damage to property over $2500, and felony party to a crime (felony) Investigators said Drapeau attacked a man because of his race. The fight was captured on cell phone video, and a portion was posted online. The clip contains racial slurs, death threats, punches and chokeholds. A sentencing date for Drapeau has not been set.
