OWI arrest in Mineral Point

On Sunday at 2:03 AM An officer with the City of Mineral Point Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 23 near Business Park Road in Mineral Point. During the course of the stop the officer requested additional units and was assisted by units from the City of Mineral Point and the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office. As a result of the traffic stop, 21-year-old Ayden J Halverson of Dodgeville was arrested for OWI 1st offense. Halverson was transported to the hospital for blood draw and then released to a responsible party.
