Two volunteers from UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital were honored with a Governor’s Volunteer Award by Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds and Lt. Gov. Chris Cournoyer. Trent DeVries, part of the Admitting Escort Team, was recognized for guiding individuals to their clinics with a calming presence, helping ease anxieties. Tanner Schoulte, a volunteer in the Emergency Department, was acknowledged for his attention to detail and ability to provide both practical support and emotional empathy. In 2025, more than 290 awards were given, impacting 96 Iowa communities.
