Dubuque Public Works Department employees will begin spraying weed control chemicals along the city’s floodwall. The spraying will occur on the land side and rip-rap on the river side of Dubuque’s flood wall, according to a press release. Weather permitting, the work will be completed by Aug. 8. Signs will be posted along the floodwall notifying people that spraying is taking place. Adults are urged to keep children and pets away from the sprayed areas for at least 24 hours after application.
