Jennifer Lawrence Says’One Battle After Another’ Is The Best Film She’s Ever Seen

Jennifer Lawrence praised the Leonardo DiCaprio 2025 action thriller One Battle After Another as “the best movie I’ve ever seen” during a BAFTA and Samsung’s BAFTA Playbook interview. The 35-year-old actress attended the film with husband Cooke Maroney, saying “I can’t remember a time where I’ve had an experience like that in the cinema, and it was shared” and noted that “everybody applauded” when it ended. Lawrence thanked her husband “over and over again because he had booked the tickets, like two weeks in advance.” She described the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed film’s pacing, stating “There’s not an extra minute in it. At no point does it drag.” The thriller, based on Thomas Pynchon’s 1990 novel Vineland, holds a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and also features Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Benicio del Toro and Teyana Taylor.
