Grant County Fair removes gate fee this year

Attendees of the Grant County Fair this summer will be able to enjoy free admission to the fairgrounds. The gate fee last year was $5 per person with children ages 8 and under entering for free, but this year there will be no gate admission. The decision to move to free entry was to remove barriers to families attending the fair and to encourage attendance. The fair runs Aug. 19 to Aug. 23 with some shows taking place earlier in the week. Grandstand events, will increase from $15 to $20 this year.
