Cassville Car Ferry opening in May

The Cassville Car Ferry is set to open its season in May. The ferry’s opening day is scheduled for May 1. The ferry spent time over the winter stationed in Lansing, Iowa, where it brought people across the Mississippi River during the deconstruction of the Black Hawk Bridge. The ferry between Iowa and Wisconsin across the Mississippi generally operates from Memorial Day until Labor Day, depending on river levels. The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
