The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding anglers that the 2026-27 inland trout season will open this Saturday, April 4th and run through October 15. This year’s trout harvest season opens a month earlier than prior seasons as trout populations are strong across most Wisconsin waters. The DNR say the additional month of harvest will provide anglers more fishing opportunities during a time of the year when other fishing seasons are generally closed.
