For the first time in over 10 years, the UW Carbone Cancer Center has a new leader. Dr. Christian Capitini was named director of the center, the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and UW Health announced Friday. He will also serve as the director of UW Health Cancer Services. Capitini will be the first pediatric oncologist in the center’s history to serve as director. He has research experience in stem cell transplant and personalized cellular therapies. For the first time in over 10 years, the UW Carbone Cancer Center has a new leader. Capitini will officially assume his role as director on April 19.
