On Thursday, Governor Evers signed a bill authored by Sen. Howard Marklein and Rep. Travis Tranel into law. The new law requires the Department of Transportation to procure and install signage to officially designate the Mississippi River Trail, which is a bike route located primarily along the Great River Road. Crossing 10 states, the trail is popular among tourists. Wisconsin’s portion covers approximately 250 miles and runs through communities such as Ferryville, Lynxville, Prairie du Chien, Bagley, and Cassville.
