Monroe woman facing child abuse charges after law enforcement finds drugs

A Monroe woman faces child neglect charges after drugs were found during a search Wednesday morning. Law enforcement executed a search warrant in Monroe regarding a drug endangered child investigation. The search resulted in the seizure of numerous suspected MDMA pills and other drug paraphernalia. 22-year-old Haylee M. McGinnis was arrested faces charges of child neglect, possession with intent to deliver schedule 1 &2 narcotics possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug dwelling. She was confined at the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. Monroe police detectives worked with Green County Human Services to arrange a person and safe place for an involved 2-year-old child to be sheltered.
