The Grand Ole Opry dedicated its Aug. 29 show in Nashville to Dolly Parton, bringing together country artists to celebrate her music and decades-long connection to the venue. The special performance followed Parton’s death on Aug. 25 at age 80.
During the tribute, organizers highlighted songs from across Parton’s career while performers shared the stage in her honor. Carly Pearce opened with Those Memories of You, while Kathy Mattea performed Jolene. Ketch Secor and Molly Tuttle teamed up for Just Someone I Used to Know, and Channing Wilson sang My Tennessee Mountain Home.
Parton’s niece, Jada Star, also appeared, performing The Orchard, a song connected to the family’s 2024 musical project.
