97-Seven Country, WGLR will honor country music icon Dolly Parton with a five-hour musical tribute during The Roadhouse this Sunday, Aug. 30, from 7 a.m. to noon!
We’ll feature all 25 of Parton’s No. 1 hits, along with many of her Top 10 charting songs spanning over five decades of her extraordinary career. Presented by WGLR Afternoon Cruise host Dave Murphy, the special will offer a chronological musical retrospective of Parton’s iconic recordings, celebrating the songs and songwriting that made her one of country music’s most enduring and beloved voices.
Parton died Tuesday, Aug. 25, at age 80. Her influence extended far beyond country music, but her remarkable run of chart-topping recordings remains a defining part of country music’s history.
