The Wisconsin DOT has scheduled a virtual public meeting for a safety project on Highway 61 in Grant County. The project has construction scheduled for 2028 and will address safety along Highway 61 between the Fennimore north city limits and Boscobel south city limits by installing centerline and shoulder rumble strips. The highway will remain open to traffic while being constructed under flagging operations. All local residences and businesses will remain open to traffic. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a virtual public involvement meeting on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6 PM via teams to discuss safety improvements.
