UW women’s hockey canceled through end of year due to COVID-19 cases, injuries within program

MADISON, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin women’s hockey team’s home series against Minnesota Duluth  and Ohio State  have been canceled due to positive COVID-19 cases and injuries in the Badgers’ program.

UW officials said the team would not have the minimum number of athletes available to play in the series because of the positive tests and injuries.

The Badgers were scheduled to play Minnesota Duluth on Dec. 11-12 and Ohio State on Dec. 18-19.

The team does not have any other series scheduled for 2020.

UW medical officials canceled the team’s series against the Gophers last week due to positive COVID-19 cases.
