LA CROSSE, Wis — Verona’s Jackson Acker’s goal in his final season was to “do something special” and the Wisconsin football commit did just that in his final meet as a Wildcat.

Acker took home 2 gold medals at the state meet winning both the shotput and the discus. But he wasn’t the only local athlete bringing home some hardware.
Waunakee’s Kyla Saleh won the high jump clearing 5’4″, while DeForest’s Anna Szepieniec took home the 300 meter hurdle crown in 45.61 seconds and finished second in the triple jump.

Middleton’s Lauren Pansegrau also brought home 2 medals. The Cardinal junior won the 3200 in 10:21:60 and finished second in the 1600.
