Minor 2-Vehicle Crash Near Potosi

The Grant County Sheriff’s Department reports a 2-vehicle crash on Highway 61 near Potosi Thursday just after 5pm. A crash investigation determined that 17 year old Brianna Pierce of Fennimore, along with 3 passengers, was traveling north in the right lane going uphill. Pierce’s vehicle was traveling behind a pickup truck. 40 year old Sean Reynolds of Hazel Green was traveling north in the left lane while overtaking Pierce’s vehicle. That’s when Pierce began to merge into the left lane to pass the pickup truck ahead of her and did not see Reynold’s vehicle, striking the passenger side of his vehicle with the driver side of her vehicle. Pierce stated she looked before merging, but did not see Reynold’s vehicle. No injuries were reported.
