Two Vehicle Crash Near Montfort

Deputies with Grant County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway 80 in Montfort Saturday shortly before 10:30pm. 40 year old Jessica McCluskey of Montfort was traveling west on Highway 18, and 39 year old Samantha Hagemann of Fennimore was traveling south on County Highway I. When Hagemann approached the intersection of Highway 18 and Highway I, she proceeded through the intersection without stopping and collided with McCluskey’s vehicle. Both vehicles had heavy disabling damage as a result of the crash. Both McCluskey and Hageman were seen by EMS at the crash site. McCluskey was taken by personal vehicle to a hospital for minor injuries. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office, Montfort Fire Department, Montfort EMS, Haase Service and Towing, and Doan’s Body Shop. Hagemann was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign, and failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign
