Law enforcement investigating possible gunshots in Westby

Law enforcement responded to a report of possible gunshots at Cedar Meadows North mobile home community on Westby’s north side Tuesday afternoon. Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson said the Sheriff’s Office received the call in the mid to late afternoon. Westby Police are leading the investigation with assistance from the Sheriff’s Office. There were no injuries as part of this incident, and there is no further danger to the community. News 8 observed one individual being taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
