The Grant County Sheriff’s office was notified of a one-vehicle crash on Barker Hollow Road, north of Military Ridge Road in the Township of Millville Thursday around 7am. The caller reported finding a truck in the ditch with nobody around. The responding Deputy was later able to get in contact with the registered owner of the vehicle, 71 year old Keith Loney of rural Prairie du Chien. Loney told the Deputy he had been driving his truck at around 1am on Barker Hollow Road when he fell asleep and went into the ditch. Loney eventually got a ride back to his home and failed to notify law enforcement of the crash. The truck had moderate damage and was towed. Loney was cited for Failure to Notify Police of an Accident-2nd Offense and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance. No injuries were reported. The Mt. Hope Fire Department, West Grant EMS, and B&M Towing assisted at the scene.
