The Dubuque area received its first measurable snowfall of the season on Tuesday. An observer measured 0.1 inches of snow at the Dubuque Regional Airport, according to David Cousins, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Quad Cities office. The weather service considers a measurable snowfall as a tenth of an inch or more. The largest first snowfall of the season occurred on Dec. 6, 1994, when 9.3 inches fell.
