The future of the Platteville/Lancaster boy and girls swim teams, as well as the Platteville High School fall dance team are in jeopardy. The Plattteville School District faces a budget deficit after an operating-expense referendum failed in April and now they’re looking for ways to cut costs. The proposal is to cut the boys and girls swimming co-op with Lancaster and the fall dance team. This cut would save $29,885. The District’s operating committee meets on July 10 and a vote with the school board could happen August 14.
