Forecasters have issued a flood warning as the Mississippi River rises toward an expected 20-foot crest in Dubuque. The flood warning is in effect beginning today until further notice and covers areas of Dubuque and Jackson counties in Iowa and Jo Daviess County in Illinois, according to the National Weather Service. The river is forecast to reach the 17-foot flood stage around 1 p.m. today and continue rising to approximately 20.1 feet by Saturday, June 29.
