Man waved machete during disturbance in Dubuque

Police said a man waved a machete during a disturbance in Dubuque. 39-year-old John D. Davis IV of Dubuque was arrested at 9:54 p.m. Sunday at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center on charges of domestic assault while displaying a weapon and interference with official acts. Court documents state that Davis was upset at his home when he broke a television and retrieved a machete. Davis waved the machete on the porch of the residence, placing other occupants of the home in fear.
