Oscar-winner Viola Davis and bestselling author James Patterson will collaborate on a novel called Judge Stone, set in the contemporary rural South. The book will focus on a powerful female judge facing a critical decision with far-reaching consequences. “Writing about a character as compelling as Judge Mary Stone has been an extraordinary experience, and I believe readers will be deeply moved by her journey,” Davis said in a statement. Patterson added: “I could not have asked for a better partner than Viola.” The novel is slated for release in 2025 or 2026 and will be available in hardcover, ebook, and audiobook editions. (THR)
