Joe Rogan’s third Netflix stand-up special, Joe Rogan: Burn The Boats, will be broadcast live on the streaming service August 3 at 10 p.m. ET. This marks a departure from Rogan’s previous specials, which have all been pre-recorded. The announcement comes after Rogan recently signed a lucrative Spotify podcast deal for his show, The Joe Rogan Experience, that allows him to expand to multiple platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube. Netflix has been investing heavily in live comedy specials, with recent releases like Chris Rock: Selective Outrage and The Roast of Tom Brady. (THR)
