Five Crashes At Roundabout Location Since It Opened

As of July of 2024, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office has responded to a total of five crashes at the roundabout south of Lancaster on U.S. Highway 61 and Highway 81. The Wisconsin DOT has been looking into the issue at the roundabout.The roundabout project was completed just last year. The purpose of the roundabout project was to improve the intersection’s safety for users by constructing a single lane roundabout to simplify the turning movement and reduce the speed of all vehicles through the intersection.
