The Jamestown Fire Department is receiving a federal grant to purchase equipment. The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that the Jamestown Fire Department will receive $112,285 in federal funding to purchase self-contained breathing apparatus. According to Grant County Emergency Management, the grant will replace antiquated low-pressure air packs with high-pressure air packs, affording firefighters additional air-time and modern safety features.
